We can expect also a midfield trio consisting of Cesc Fabregas, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta. Thats the best way they can have the ball but on their side of the pitch.This would test Lionel Messi scoring ability as he gets the ball a little bit deeper. He suffered this problem playing for Argentina in Copa America who handed him the ball near the midfield and so Leo Messi was swarmed with defenders. We can expect Villareal playing at confidence level because they know they are a healthy team and Barcelona lacks their superstars but not Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi,was  awarded last Thursday as the Best Player in Europe, made a goal on  39th minute after an error back pass from Porto midfielder Freddy Guarin. “He sees special passes and he scores special goals,” Fabregas said of Messi. “The biggest part of this goal is thanks to him.”

This Victory made Pep Guardiola the most awarded coach in Barcelona’s history with 12 trophies in just four seasons and it could still be more. Dutchman Johan Cruyff, like Guardiola a former Barca player has eleven trophies.

On the first Leg of the Super Cup at Santiago Bernabéu, amidst the 80 000 fans, Lionel Messi created one of the most remarkable goal of the first leg of the Super Cup.It happened when the bouncing ball came to him near the right edge of the goal area, three defenders closed the running lane of Messi. While Xabi Alonso was at his back, Messi went left but Sami Khedira bump him on the side and the ball goes right, while Pepe slips in front of him, he chases the ball, dribbles a few feet and shoots while Casillas is running towards him and Samir Khedira sliding to deflect the ball.

Imagine Lionel Messi who came from Argentina to Barcelona at 13 year old to find treatment for hisgrowth hormone problem, mesmerizing us with a beautiful goal against three  top defenders of Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi did not only made a goal that night but also assisted David Villa’s shot earlier. From the far right, Lionel Messi made a precision pass to David Villa who nailed the ball in the far upper left area of the goal, far beyond the reach of Casillas.

Barcelona  coach Pep Guardiola will be playing  Thiago in the  midfield, with Xavi sitted on the bench. Thiago has been spectacular in the preseason and the Barcelona  coach Pep Guardiola has given him the chance to start the Super cup.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is ready for the attack by fielding  Mesut Özil, Pepe, Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso in the starting XI which can help a lot in the scoring.

Spanish La Liga is just around the corner and Barcelona and Real Madrid wants to jump start the league with a win in Supercopa to have a confidence booster early on the league.

Barcelona’s Andres Iniestas said that they will try not to commit the same mistakes Barcelona did last time in supercup after losing against Sevila 1-3 but was able to win a 4-0 at Nou Camp, Barcelona’s home turf. They won the supercup with hardship in a 5-3 aggregate after losing the away game. Iniesta wants Barcelona to win at the territory of Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu.

“I hope Supercopa this year unlike last season,” he said. “We want to perform well in the first leg so we have a good capital for the determination of the next match,” said Iniesta.

“We did not think about defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu. We want to win the first leg,” said Andres Iniesta.

Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta said that his  team has been practicing plays  for Madrid. Andres Iniesta also said that his excited to play and win the cup for his team Barcelona.

“We have worked hard in preparing for this fight. We practiced and played well,” said Andres Iniesta.

“Matches are a matter of time. We are very motivated to win the first title this season and we were there to win,” he concluded.

Barcelona’s practice session was in preparation for the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo. The first of the two leg matches will be held at the Home field of Real Madrid on August 14 and the second leg at Camp Nou, Barcelona three days later.
